Etta is a loving girl once she accepts you. She is nervous to start and needs time to settle & accept people & surroundings. She is around a year old.
She walks quite well on a lead – although she is not keen on a collar & lead & an escape proof harness works best. After a routine of walking the same way each day she now enjoys going out and then playing in the fields with the other dogs.
She likes playing with her foster siblings and all their toys; especially chew type toys. Out in the fields she loves nothing more than run like crazy with the other dogs. Her recall is not too bad & she knows a few basic commands already but further training would be ideal as she does love the attention once she’s got over the initial worry period.
As yet she is not fully house trained and that’s a work in progress, which is slowly improving. Sleeps happily in a crate at night & knows the command “bed” to get into it – although repetition of the word is often needed as she gets over excited preferring to run & bounce on a human bed!
She can be left for several hours without much issue other than the occasional toilet accident. Loves her food too and her treats. Currently she shares her home with 3 dogs & 2 cats, and other than not understanding the cats don’t always want to play the same chase games, is actually fine around them. A home with another playful dog & humans who are patient, quiet & willing to allow her the time required for her to adapt & settle would be ideal.
If this time & patience is followed you will end up having a gorgeous loving girl at your side – she loves sleeping behind her Fosterers head when he has a sofa nap.
