Big, bouncy and beautiful is how we would describe Digby!! He was originally adopted as a 4 month old pup but his owner failed to put clear boundaries in place for him which escalated into Digby not understanding what was expected of him.

Digby is in a behaviour facility in Devon where he has been for over a year which has cost us an enormous amount of money and we would really love to see him find his people.

Digby’s ideal home would be in a rural or semi-rural location with lots of space for him to enjoy, he needs an adult only home with owners who have experience of large breed dogs who require strong boundaries and firmer handling.

His rehab space have kindly offered remote support for the first few months on a weekly basis, which any potential family will need to commit to as part of his adoption. His rehab space say that Digby is like an onion, you have to peel back the layers to find the emotions behind his exuberant, seemingly bold brave behaviour. When you’ve read through the layers you find a lad that’s wary of other dogs, wary of leads and wary of new people so despite his bravado, goofiness, playfulness moments Digby is a worrier and fronts up to the world fully to keep it at bay … away. We know that Digby is a lot to consider, but with the support of the rescue, his rehab space and trainer, we hope to set Digby and his new adopters up for success.
